“Therefore to him that knows to do good, and does it not, to him it is sin.” (James 4:17 AKJV)

Do what God lays on your heart to do. Do it now. You’ll be glad you did.

Monday, January 12, 2009
“But he gives more grace. Why he said, God resists the proud, but gives grace to the humble.” (James 4:6 AKJV)

Pride can keep us away from God’s blessing. We must humble ourselves before Him and He will give us all the grace we need to face life.

Tuesday, January 13, 2009
“It is good for me that I have been afflicted; that I might learn your statutes.” (Psalms 119:71 AKJV)

Tough times can be good times. They cause us to go back to God and His promises. Are you going through times of trials? Look to the Lord.

Wednesday, January 14, 2009
“Your hands have made me and fashioned me: give me understanding, that I may learn your commandments.” (Psalms 119:73 AKJV)

We learn about life when we turn to the One who gave us life. God made you and He has a wonderful plan for you.

Thursday, January 15, 2009
“For Christ also has once suffered for sins, the just for the unjust, that he might bring us to God, being put to death in the flesh, but quickened by the Spirit:” (1 Peter 3:18 AKJV)

Jesus didn’t die to start a religion. He died to save us from an eternal Hell. He arose from the dead to prove that sin and death were defeated. Praise the Lord!

Friday, January 16, 2009
“This is the day which the LORD has made; we will rejoice and be glad in it.” (Psalms 118:24 AKJV)

Today is a gift from God. Don’t squander it.

Saturday, January 17, 2009
“It is better to trust in the LORD than to put confidence in man. It is better to trust in the LORD than to put confidence in princes.” (Psalms 118:8-9 AKJV)

God never changes. He is true to His Word. You can depend on Him.

Sunday, January 18, 2009
“Out of the same mouth proceeds blessing and cursing. My brothers, these things ought not so to be.” (James 3:10 AKJV)

Do your words match what you profess? Bless others with your words. We need more of this in our world.

Monday, January 19, 2009
“Every good gift and every perfect gift is from above, and comes down from the Father of lights, with whom is no ficklenss, neither shadow of turning.” (James 1:17 AKJV)

Every good gift comes from God. Hell is a place where there will not be one good thing. Where will you be spending eternity?

Tuesday, January 20, 2009
“Behold, as the eyes of servants look to the hand of their masters, and as the eyes of a maiden to the hand of her mistress; so our eyes wait on the LORD our God, until that he have mercy on us.” (Psalms 123:2 AKJV)

God is our great hope to see us through the tough times. Look to Him. He loves you.

Wednesday, January 21, 2009
“If a man says, I love God, and hates his brother, he is a liar: for he that loves not his brother whom he has seen, how can he love God whom he has not seen?” (1 John 4:20 AKJV)

Loving God means that we will love others. If we don’t love others how can we say that we love God?

Thursday, January 22, 2009
“He that commits sin is of the devil; for the devil sins from the beginning. For this purpose the Son of God was manifested, that he might destroy the works of the devil.” (1 John 3:8 AKJV)

Jesus came to destroy sin, not tolerate it. Jesus always calls His followers to holiness.

Friday, January 23, 2009
“I was glad when they said to me, Let us go into the house of the LORD.” (Psalms 122:1 AKJV)

God’s people love to go to the house of the Lord. Do you feel that way? Are you a child of God?

Saturday, January 24, 2009
“He, that being often reproved hardens his neck, shall suddenly be destroyed, and that without remedy.” (Proverbs 29:1 AKJV)

Don’t be stubborn toward God. You will be sorry if you do.

Sunday, January 25, 2009
“And the world passes away, and the lust thereof: but he that does the will of God stays for ever.” (1 John 2:17 AKJV)

This world is temporary. Your soul is eternal. Where will you spend eternity?

Monday, January 26, 2009
“Where there is no vision, the people perish: but he that keeps the law, happy is he.” (Proverbs 29:18 AKJV)

When the Word of God is neglected there is trouble ahead. Preachers need to keep preaching the Bible and people need to follow their lead.

Tuesday, January 27, 2009
“Blessed is every one that fears the LORD; that walks in his ways.” (Psalms 128:1 AKJV)

The fear of the Lord leads to blessings. Do you fear the Lord? You should. One day you will stand before Him and give an account.

Wednesday, January 28, 2009
“I am he that lives, and was dead; and, behold, I am alive for ever more, Amen; and have the keys of hell and of death.” (Revelation 1:18 AKJV)

These words of Jesus remind us of how really important it is to know and serve Him as our Lord and Savior. Have you committed your life to Jesus?

Thursday, January 29, 2009
“Multitudes, multitudes in the valley of decision: for the day of the LORD is near in the valley of decision.” (Joel 3:14 AKJV)

Are you at a crossroads in your life about following Jesus as your Lord? Don’t hesitate. Eternity may come quicker than you think.

Friday, January 30, 2009
“And I will restore to you the years that the locust has eaten, the cankerworm, and the caterpillar, and the palmerworm, my great army which I sent among you.” (Joel 2:25 AKJV)

The Lord can make up for your wasted years. Come to Him and repent and watch Him transform your life for the better. Do it now.

Saturday, January 31, 2009
“Correct your son, and he shall give you rest; yes, he shall give delight to your soul.” (Proverbs 29:17 AKJV)

Parental discipline is a necessity for our children. Start now. Do it in love and you and your children will be blessed.

Sunday, February 1, 2009
“Except the LORD build the house, they labor in vain that build it: except the LORD keep the city, the watchman wakes but in vain.” (Psalms 127:1 AKJV)

Make sure your plans include the Lord. If you don’t, problems lie ahead. Think it over.

Monday, February 2, 2009
“Who is wise, and he shall understand these things? prudent, and he shall know them? for the ways of the LORD are right, and the just shall walk in them: but the transgressors shall fall therein.” (Hosea 14:9 AKJV)

Do you want to be wise? Realize that God is on the throne. His ways are always the right way.

Tuesday, Feb 3, 2009
“Sow to yourselves in righteousness, reap in mercy; break up your fallow ground: for it is time to seek the LORD, till he come and rain righteousness on you.” (Hosea 10:12 AKJV)

We need to desperately seek the Lord and His ways in our world today. It must begin with each one of us. Don’t wait for the other person. Do it now.

Wednesday, February 4, 2009
“A fool utters all his mind: but a wise man keeps it in till afterwards.” (Proverbs 29:11 AKJV)

Which are you? Think it over.

Thursday, February 5, 2009
“Our help is in the name of the LORD, who made heaven and earth.” (Psalms 124:8 AKJV)

Are you in need of help? I can think of none better to help us than the One who made the universe.

Friday, February 6, 2009
“My people are destroyed for lack of knowledge: because you have rejected knowledge, I will also reject you, that you shall be no priest to me: seeing you have forgotten the law of your God, I will also forget your children.” (Hosea 4:6 AKJV)

People don’t need to hear funny stories or pious platitudes. People need to hear the Bible. Preacher and teacher, tell the people about the Lord of the Bible. Their very souls depend on it.

Saturday, February 7, 2009
“And this is the record, that God has given to us eternal life, and this life is in his Son. He that has the Son has life; and he that has not the Son of God has not life.” (1 John 5:11-12 AKJV)

It can’t get any plainer than this. Do you have Jesus in your life? If so, you have the promise of eternal life in Heaven. If not, repent of your sin and come to Jesus or you will spend eternity in Hell.

Sunday, February 8, 2009
“For this is the love of God, that we keep his commandments: and his commandments are not grievous.” (1 John 5:3 AKJV)

People who truly belong to the Lord Jesus will love Him and keep His commandments. Do you belong to Jesus?

Monday, February 9, 2009
“O give thanks to the LORD; for he is good: for his mercy endures for ever.” (Psalms 136:1 AKJV)

When was the last time you truly gave the Lord thanks? Take time and do it now. He has been so merciful to all of us.

Tuesday, February 10, 2009
“The LORD is good, a strong hold in the day of trouble; and he knows them that trust in him.” (Nahum 1:7 AKJV)

Call out to the Lord in your hour of need. He will be your strength. Have faith in God. He loves you.

Wednesday, February 11, 2009
“The idols of the heathen are silver and gold, the work of men’s hands. They have mouths, but they speak not; eyes have they, but they see not; They have ears, but they hear not; neither is there any breath in their mouths. They that make them are like to them: so is every one that trusts in them.” (Psalms 135:15-18 AKJV)

Put your trust in the living God who made you and loves you. You can depend on Him.

Thursday, February 12, 2009
“He has showed you, O man, what is good; and what does the LORD require of you, but to do justly, and to love mercy, and to walk humbly with your God?” (Micah 6:8 AKJV)

We need more Godly people in our world today. Will you be one?

Friday, February 13, 2009
“But you, Bethlehem Ephratah, though you be little among the thousands of Judah, yet out of you shall he come forth to me that is to be ruler in Israel; whose goings forth have been from of old, from everlasting.” (Micah 5:2 AKJV)

Micah prophesied the birth of Jesus in Bethlehem 700 years before it happened. God always keeps His word.

Saturday, February 14, 2009
“For God so loved the world, that he gave his only begotten Son, that whoever believes in him should not perish, but have everlasting life.” (John 3:16 AKJV)

God loves you. He proved it. Read the verse above and it will remind you how much He loves you.
